BREAKING NEWS

Former President's Cup player Bradley Hughes has committed to play in the inaugural 2010 United States Match Play Championship, to be held June 29-July 3 at Pebble Creek Country Club in Taylors, South Carolina, just outside Greenville.  To date, Hughes is the highest-profile player to commit to the event.

In 1994, Hughes, originally from Australia, was named to the President's Cup team in 1994, representing the International team.  A former PGA Tour Player, Hughes also played on the Nationwide Tour, winning the 2004 Wichita Open.  He also is a two-time champion of the prestigious Australian Masters, winning in 1993 and 1998.

The United States Golf Teachers Federation, founded in 1989, is the nation’s largest organization of strictly golf teaching professionals. It is a founding member of the World Golf Teachers Federation, which encompasses over 18,000 members and 35 member nations. USGTF members can be found in virtually every facet of the golf business.

The United States Match Play Championship is our effort to provide professional golfers the opportunity to showcase their talent. Although the championship is geared towards developmental professionals, there are no restrictions on whom may enter, including tour professionals and elite amateurs. The United States Match Play Championship is a championship open to all.
