Yukihisa Nishimura was well-known among junior players, and
became a member of a leading college golf team in Japan.
After graduating from college, he aimed to be a teaching
professional, and started to receive coaching from
Toshimitsu Izawa, a two-time leading money winner on the
Japan Golf Tour.
Nishimura joined GTF Japan in 2003. He
started teaching golf to all levels of students, from junior
golfers to tour professionals. One of the tour pros
Nishimura taught was Tomohiro Kondo, who won the Chunichi
Crowns tournament in 2009. Nishimura was named a tour coach
by the Japan Golf Tour.
Currently Nishimura writes articles for
Golf Digest and Golf Waggle magazines. He serves on a golf
clinic demonstration staff at the Golf Merchandise Show in
Japan and is on the advisory staff of Honma Golf.
